Max Clifford has built a reputation as Britain’s leading publicist and media spokesman. His outspoken nature has highlighted the running of the tabloid press which Max frequently exploits on behalf of his many clients. He has lifted the lid on many major newspaper stories and scandals, yet privately remains a deducted family man and tireless charity worker.
After a self confessed false start in the job market Max found himself in Journalism but preferred the glitz of the pop world, joining EMI as a press and publicity man. Soon he was given the task to promote an unknown Liverpudlian pop group called The Beatles. Max took to the music industry, and they took to him, and he worked to promote the likes of Tom Jones, Jimi Hendrix and the Bee Gees.
Broadening his horizons Max started to represent celebrities of any description including Frank Sinatra, Mohammed Ali, David Copperfield Freddie Starr and infamously OJ Simpson. In recent years Max has also helped unknowns get their story media attention. Max regularly takes part in debates at both Oxford and Cambridge. Whilst Max is sometimes dismissed by serious journalists they still named him PR Personality of the Year in a survey conducted by The Drum Magazine.
Max Clifford is a man of great contrast, ruthless in his pursuit in gaining his client publicity yet a caring and thoughtful man who devotes a lot of time and money in assisting charities and those less fortunate.
Having worked with many of the worlds most famous people Max is an entertaining and compelling speaker.
