Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis have been described as ‘The Kings of Satirical Comedy’
The stars of BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Now Show’ and BBC Radio 2’s ‘It’s Been a Bad Week’ first found fame over 20 years ago as one half of (the other half being Rob Newman and David Baddiel) legendary cult TV show ‘The Mary Whitehouse Experience’, a popular and acclaimed sketch monologue show first aired on BBC Radio 1 and later transferred to television.
Since then their reputations as both writers and performers have grown enormously.
Punt and Dennis worked on Jasper Carrott's shows for many years, where they performed short sketches. They also supported him on tour.
Since then, Punt and Dennis have worked in front and behind the scenes of the BBC satirical panel show; Mock The Week. Punt was principle writer behind the scenes, meanwhile Dennis was a regular in the show alongside Scottish comedian, Frankie Boyle.
Punt and Dennis took their live show ‘Stuff and Nonsense’ on UK national Tour in 2007, and their unique brand of humour was a real hit with the critics.
Always a popular choice for corporate events, Punt and Dennis have a vast amount of experience entertaining a corporate crowd. Amongst recent clients they have worked alongside: Bunzl, Scottish Power, ITV plc, WPP Group and Shell Transport & Trading Co.
