The Comicus improvisation team guarantees an evening of comedy the like of which, you will have never experienced before.
Using suggestions from you, the audience, we will create a variety of comic scenes and sketches tailored to your specific input.
If an audience wants to become even more involved, the team can incorporate them into scenes. Members of an audience are never made the scapegoat; their contribution always applauded by the rest of the cast and most definitely by their corporate colleagues.
The following provides an example of some of the typical games we would play of an evening.
PUPPETS
Two of the players act out a scene with the help of two members of the audience. The audience members are there to provide all movement for the performers. Whenever the player needs to point, walk, bend over or any other movement, the audience member must help them do so. Invariably it is the audience members who will get all the laughs at the expense of the incapacitated player.
CLIFFHANGERS
Players act out a scene again based on suggestions from the audience. On this occasion the audience have written single lines of dialogue on strips of paper. At various points in the scene a player will reach for a piece of paper and not knowing the content, will read the line out loud, hoping that it will make sense within the context of the scene. It rarely does and then it is left to the performer to justify what he has just been read out.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
A member of the audience joins the performers onstage and is asked all about their life. Where they were born, what they do for a living, their likes, dislikes, ambitions etc. They are then asked to return to their seat and the team, taking on the characters our guest has mentioned, recreate a day in his/ her life.
